![]() The chicken curry puff had only a hint of curry and the potato in it made it taste dry and gummy. ![]() ![]() My corn fritters were puffed up like brownies, but with none of the finesse they had previously, only sweetness remained (sweet corn sweet dough, not much else). Nonetheless, last week, we stopped into Pandan for a quick late-night meal (we only wanted appetizers). At this point, we decided not to ever return we had okay food, but the service was amateurish (as it has always been, to various degrees, but we were finally tired of paying not cheap prices to get treated rudely). We went again to Pandan on Valentine's Day and had an unmemorable meal and poor service. I had the Lamb Asam Manis (a shank), which I didn't finish and upon reheating it at home the next day, it didn't improve in taste or texture (lamb should be eaten at Italian or Indian restaurants where they know how to coax the flavor out of the meat without drying it out). We went again for New Year's Eve when they had a special menu and prices ($29.99pp). Three of the six items we tried, we really liked all the other dishes were terrible (dry, doughy or tasteless). I havent ordered it again. The next time we went, we were on our way to Hong Kong and wanted to try Pandan's weekend Dim Sum. I thought it was because all the servers in the place looked like they were only working there for the summer and they didn't actually know how Thai tea is suppose to taste. Our first meal was great, only the Thai Iced Tea was off in flavor. We started going to this establishment a year ago when we moved here from Las Vegas.
